Our Debut in a 5v5 Tournament

This was SunCity's inaugural debut playing in a wheelchair basketball 5v5 Competition came in a 3 day competition from 17th-19th in January of 2025 located in the Sunshine Coast. This tournament is one of the biggest wheelchair basketball events put on every year, they never disappoint and we were so lucky to have a group to participate in it.

We had an amazing weekend at this event, we participated in the tournament B-grade. Which is more of a social grade or for the up and coming players that want to develop before going into the more physical grades. Our players played amazing and came along with our first ever win in SunCity history 26-8. Two of our players were awarded apart of the All-star 5 team for B-Grade, voted by the opposing coaches. Cooper Hannah & Oliver Myatt not only were awarded this but were offensive machines. Ollie scored 37 points over 8 games and Coops scored 35points over those 8 games also.
